Hi, I am Davey from the Netherlands, I have worked offshore, on big ships and in the harbor of Rotterdam. This all was a nice experience, but it never really got me excited.

I always had a love for hiking, sleeping outdoors, fishing and going on all sort of adventures. And was also what I did in my time off and on my holidays. I also always had a love for dogs but due to my irregular workplaces and times I never saw it fit to get my own.

After another great holiday in northern Norway I did some volunteering at a dog yard. I got very excited and I knew that this was the job which always had been meant for me.

“The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams” and I had just lived it and now it was time to follow it.

Now I work for Green Dog Svalbard in the most adventurous and beautiful place I could think of.
