This is a really nice tour, that fit the whole family, no matter age and condition. Join us in a dog tour, where you lean back and enjoy the beautiful coast line outside of Bear valley, while the guide steers the wagon with your entire family. We will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Bjørndalen, where the dogs are eagerly waiting for us. Its possible to help the guide harnessing the dogs, but its nothing you have to do, if you dont feel like it. When the dogs are attached to the wagon, the tour will start and we will drive out along the Ice fjord, towards Bear Valley. Keep your eyes open, since theres a lot of life here! At the tour, we may see reindeer, polar fox, ptarmigan, seal and maybe even walrus and whale. The world of birds is rich reperesented by the little auk, geese, various seagulls and puffins. We also pass by cultural heretage, like the iconic coal crane at the old coal harbour.
After about 1 and a half hours of dog driving, we will continue by car to our kennel in Bolterdalen. We will drive through Advent Valley, where you can also very often see reindeer. At the dog kennel, the guide will show you around and if theres any children on the tour, then maybe they would like to visit the playground. Afterwards, we see the latest generation of puppies and we enjoy coffee, hot chocolate , bisquits – and maybe a brandy in our heated log cabin.
The entire trip is approximately 3 hours, inluding transport to and from the hotels. You must be dressed in warm outdoor clothing and you have to tell us in advance if you need to lend clothes from Green Dog for the tour.
