Hi everyone!

I’m Diana, but everyone calls me Didi, and I’m absolutely thrilled to share a bit about my life in the Arctic with you!

I’ve been dog sledding for 11 incredible years, and for the last 7 of them, I’ve proudly called Svalbard my permanent home. Before moving up to this magical archipelago, I spent 4 years working at a racing kennel in Northern Norway, which is where my deep bond with these amazing working dogs truly took off.

Ever since I arrived on Svalbard, I’ve been a full-time guide right here at Green Dog. Dog sledding and guiding here are truly a complete way of life for me. I’ve focused heavily on my Arctic training, completing a glacier mountaineering course and earning my SGO field guide certification.

When people ask who my favourite dog at the yard is, I always tell them the truth: all dogs are my favourite dogs!

Even on my days off, you’ll almost always find me out exploring the rugged wilderness, running my dogs and finding new adventures. I truly can’t wait to welcome you to the yard, introduce you to our wonderful pack and show you the wild, breathtaking beauty of Svalbard!

Cancellation

  • If cancelled 22 days or more prior to departure 100 % refund.
  • If cancelled 22-7 days prior to departure 50 % refund.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days prior to departure is a ”no show” and does not qualify for any refund.
  • You may apply to your insurance company for a refund if you provide a medical certificate.
  • If Green Dog Svalbard decides to cancel a trip due to weather conditions or any other reasons, you will receive a full refund!
