Hi! My name is Rasmus, and I’m from Denmark. On a daily basis, you can meet me as a guide at Green Dog.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a close connection to nature. I grew up with forests and water as my playground in western Jutland, and over time, my fascination with outdoor life has only grown. I’ve spent most of my free time surfing, ski touring, and fly fishing — activities that have taken me to Iceland, North America, and Northern Norway, where nature is both harsh and breathtaking.
I’m also a trained journalist, which has given me the opportunity to write about fishing and outdoor life, among other things.
I’m very happy to have ended up at Green Dog. Here, I get to combine my love for nature with the hands-on work with the dogs and the Arctic wilderness. Living and working on Svalbard is something truly special — here, it’s nature that sets the pace. At the same time, it’s wonderful to be able to spend most of the day outdoors.
I’m incredibly happy to be part of Green Dog — a place with strong camaraderie, a fast pace, and a deep love for both the dogs and life in the Arctic wilderness.
