Retired Sled Dog
Buster
A calm Siberian Husky with a quiet and unique charm. He may not be the loudest in the pack, but his gentle personality makes him easy to love.
Life on Svalbard
Buster is an 11-year-old purebred Siberian Husky, born in 2015. He has spent his life as a working sled dog and has run many miles, often as a lead dog. He has also joined skiing trips and outdoor adventures, and knows how to enjoy both activity and relaxation.
Personality
Buster has a charm all of his own. He is not as outgoing as many other huskies and tends to be more independent. Calm, smart, and easy-going, he often prefers to observe the world from the top of his dog house rather than be the center of attention. He learns new routines quickly and adapts well to new situations. Female dogs are usually his preferred company.
These days, Buster enjoys joining hikes, rolling around in the grass or snow, and getting plenty of belly rubs. He is also well aware of the comforts of a soft dog bed, and perhaps even a sofa.
What Buster needs
Buster would thrive with someone who appreciates his independent nature and gives him time to build a strong bond. While he enjoys companionship, he is very much his own dog and likes having some freedom. An experienced owner who understands huskies would be ideal. In return, Buster offers loyalty, character, and the quiet companionship of a true old gentleman.
