Hi, I’m Nico! I grew up in the Netherlands and worked there as a manager and garden designer for a landscape company. I still design part-time for them. In the Netherlands, we don’t get proper winters, so in wintertime you could often find me in the Alps.
My love for the winter and winter activities kept growing and when I visited Svalbard, it was love at first sight. Breathtaking surroundings that are perfect for winter activities, people from all over the world and of course the dogs! When I moved here, I brought my own dog Ivy: a long haired Weimaraner. We started training her to become a search and rescue dog.
To be able to work for Greendogs with this superteam and these amazing dogs is a dream coming true. I look forward to showing you this beautiful part of the Arctic, so close to the North Pole.
