Hi, my name is Emma!
I’m from Slovakia, where I grew up in the stunning High Tatras region. Surrounded by mountains and forests, my siblings and I had a childhood filled with adventure. That’s where my love for winter and the outdoors was born.
At 15, I got my first Siberian husky — Naomi. She was the beginning of a journey into the world of sled dogs. Over time, our little pack grew, and when I met my now-fiancé, we found ourselves with a team of five huskies. The first time we tried sledding together, we knew we had discovered something special — a shared passion we wanted to build our life around.
That passion led us north to Lapland, where we started working as sleddog guides. I loved Lapland but when I discovered Svalbard, I knew I had found the place I truly wanted to call home.
Living on Svalbard has been a dream come true. This remote Arctic island has a way of stealing a piece of your heart the moment you arrive. Its raw beauty, endless snowy valleys, and the quiet magic of the polar landscape are unlike anything else.
Today, I feel incredibly grateful to share this life with our amazing Greenlandic dogs. I’d love to welcome you here and guide you through this extraordinary place — to show you the joy of dogsledding and the special bond between us and the dogs . It’s something that can’t be fully explained — it has to be felt. And once you do, you’ll understand why it means so much to me.
