I grew up on a small farm in western Canada, and spent hours outside playing with animals. My first dog was a little border collie that helped me chase my cows. When not working on the farm my dad would take me out canoeing and hiking, sparking my love for the outdoors and nature.
I started running dogs after I finished my university degree in Environmental science and biology. My first time on a dog sled was in 2015 in northern Canada at a small family kennel where I fell in love with dog sledding and the arctic. From there I went to Alaska to help a Norwegian who was racing Iditarod, a 1000 mile dod sledding race.
After Alaska I came to Svalbard and have been with GreenDog since December 2017. On my days off I enjoy getting out on skis and sleeping in a tent, going for walk with a dog, eating lots of cucumbers and drinking chocolate milk. I am happy outside until -45 celsius and after that I just enjoy drinking hot water inside by a fire.
