Hi! My name is Jens and I come from Denmark. I have a degree in Biology with a focus on the Arctic from the University of Copenhagen, which has led to several field trips to Greenland in the last few years. I have a huge respect for and fascination with the untouched and harsh conditions that characterize these regions. I have a great longing for adventure, challenges and feel that I grow most as a person when I am pushed out of my comfort zone. I have traveled large parts of the world alone, including from the southern United States to northern Canada, where I worked on a farm; I have lived alone in a forest in Estonia with 35 sled dogs and was responsible for the daily operation of a kennel in the Norwegian wilderness, where the dogs were trained for dog sled racing at the highest level. I feel that these experiences give me the greatest joy in life, where everyday life consists of sled dogs, busy days, hard work and adventures. I expect that working at Green Dog and living in Svalbard can become another fantastic period in my life that fullfills all these expectations and even more.
