Daniel Germer

My name is Daniel Germer and I working as a guide at Green Dog Svalbard. I was born and raised in Denmark and have always had a big interest in nature, and ever since I was a kid, I always had a big love for animals – especially dogs. But there was only one problem. My family was a cat family and my father wouldn´t allow a dog. Don’t misunderstand me, I love cats! But they are not dogs.

Suddenly you are not a 12 years old scout running around in the woods anymore, but in the military, trying to find new boundaries to cross. After almost 4 years in the military, I got the opportunity to work for Green Dog, which I grabbed without a second thought. Today I got the responsibility for thirty of the most fantastic dogs, in the most spectacular surroundings, where you get to meet a lot of different people from all around the world. What more could you wish for?
