Green Dog Svalbard is a family-owned business, located on the northernmost island of Norway, Svalbard, in Bolterdalen, a valley just 10 km outside the main town of Longyearbyen.
We have more than 18 years of combined experience in dogsled tourism, derived from The Military Sled Patrol “Sirius”, in both Greenland and Svalbard. Each year between 15 and 20 puppies are born at Green Dog, and we are more than happy to let our visitors enjoy the newcomers!
Green Dog has over 180 dogs and the combination of good sledding conditions, large and diverse valleys to explore, and the unspoiled natural wonders of the high arctic offers perfect conditions for the dogs to show off their talents.
Green Dog offers trips with sled dogs and the opportunity for visitors to drive a dogsledge themselves. Gain unique experiences in the one-of-a-kind landscapes of Svalbard, including a naturally-formed ice cave, on guided-tours with high safety standards.
At Green Dog SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. With our commitment to preserve and respect the nature of 78 Degrees North, we aim to provide the best arctic nature experience possible for many years to come.
